Dedicated to the memory of Ollie

Thank you for visiting this tribute site for our Ollie; award-winning architect, founding director of OCA Studio (formerly Oliver Chapman Architects) and much loved and respected colleague, mentor, tutor, friend and devoted family man.

Ollie had a special connection to the Maggie's charity. In 1994, after graduating from the Macintosh School of Art, Ollie was working at Richard Murphy Architects when the practice was commissioned to design the first Maggie's Centre, situated at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. Ollie met Maggie’s founder Maggie Jencks as her vision for a different kind of cancer support, grounded in calm and uplifting spaces, was taking shape. He drew up plans for the building and assisted with the project. Maggie’s Edinburgh has provided a place of comfort and support for so many people, including Ollie and his family, ever since.

Over the ensuing years, Maggie’s has gone from strength to strength with thoughtful, welcoming buildings springing up across the UK and internationally. You can read more about their work and buildings here.

We hope you’ll agree that Maggie’s is a highly appropriate recipient for any donations you feel able to make in memory of Ollie.
